Erik & I were pals in the Marine community & as hams once I earned my new ticket. A good all-around guy with too many crosses to bear. RIP & Semper fidelis, Jim NS5M

I am stunned. Erik was the second person I ever had a QSO with upon getting my tech ticket. Many, many times I spoke with him on the daily commute. Always happy, always positive, always willing to lend a hand. Words can do no justice towards describing his loss to the amateur community. Go with God, Erik. Semper Fi and 73.

It's a damn shame he had to leave like he did. It's also a damn shame that no one reached out and pulled him back while the opportunity was there to do so. And, this includes me. None of us can save the world but you would sure think we could save one person. Semper Fi Erik Nair. You have left us in the world, but at least for some of us you won't leave our hearts. Rest easy dear friend.
