Ray Reynolds (AF2A)
October 16, 2007
Ray was a my Elmer. He guided me into this greatest of hobbies, and introduced me to many of those whom I still consider my best friends.
As a paraplegic, Ray lived nobly with great physical constraints for many years. He struggled but tried never to show it. You would think one who was dealt such difficult and painful cards would always be asking for help. But Ray rarely did. Instead he was always willing and eager to offer his knowledge, his wisdom, and his considerable wit. He advised us and cheered us in ways too numerous and valuable to count.
The last time I saw Ray he was suffering physically. But his mind was sharp and his demeanor brave. Goodbye old friend. Now that you are free of your earthly bonds, may your spirit spring forth. May you be rewarded with everlasting 59 signals and may the ether always bring us reminders of your courage and inspiration. --... ...-- de
