Joseph J Pawlik (K8BF)

October 29, 2007

My Elmer and good friend passed away after a long bout with several health problems. Active in Amateur Radio until his admission to the hospital about 3 weeks ago, Joe was an avid Field Day participant who got me interested in Field Day, antenna construction and was my coach to upgrade to General. Joe will be missed by many, especially those in the ARES/RACES community. '73 my Friend

Joe, K8BF (Previously K8EPZ) was a long time Friend for 47 Years. We became Friends back in 1960. We traveled to many places, did many things, and our children played together. I met my Wife through Joe. He was a Husband and a Father. Joe was an Auxiliary Police Officer in Royal Oak, Michigan. His Son Andy, became a Police Officer in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Joe Loved and Lived Amateur Radio. Amateur Radio was not just a Hobby to Joe, it was a way of life for him. Joe made many Friends through the years because of Amateur Radio. Joe my Friend, I will always be thinking of you and will always miss our Friendship and our visits ... RIP my Friend K8BF .. de Ted K8NA
