Ernie Robillon (K1DI)

Jube 14, 2006

Memories are all that holds us together after a friend or relative passed on. I am most grateful for having met Ernie long before he became a ham and appreciate the 45 years that I knew him. His wit, sense of humor and open friendliness was a solid reminder of the type of individual he was. Never one to say no to a friend in need, he was in the true sense of the word a person you could count on to help be it ham radio or otherwise. An avid Ham in his latter years he was a true CW "fanatic" and was always willing to tutor the potential new ham with his code requirements by spending many hours practicing with the new guy on and off the air. His door was always open and the coffee flowed freely. He will be sorely missed by many many of his peers.
