Amateur Radio enthusiast since he was 18. Chief Radio Op in Navy. Co-Founder of the Motor City Radio Club in Detroit, MI. Built from Armed Forces Surplus gear early on, stayed current with equipment prior to any computerization, until he finally walked away one day from his radio room
(due to effects of Alzheimer's). Multiple awards, including WAC in late 90's. Primarily a hi-speed manual key user, preferred overseas contacts. Will be missed by many friends and family. Passed at 92 yrs, interred at Battle Creek National Cemetery, MI.
