Ken Rick Rickert (K9VTO)
Nov 3 2007
Ken Rick Rickert had an enthusiasm for life and enjoyed many varied interests including computers, aviation and amateur radio. Rick worked on the production line at Heil Sound. He was licensed in 1999 and studied hard to receive his upgrade in 2000. His best radio friend Steve, K9SR helped him to learn more about designing and building. Ken was thrilled to complete his Tuna Tin project and get it on the air. The FAA issued his private pilot license in 2000 and he enjoyed flying his Cessna 150. A loving husband he is survived by his wife Judy, the office manager at Heil along with many four legged friends. We will all miss Rick's great wit and humor as well as remember his tremendous struggle with emphysema which finally took his life.
