PAUL J KAPPEL, SR (N5EMJ)

2007

Paul was a Ham that would help you with a smile and still be smiling when you leave. One time I asked him to help me with my new Pentium 100 MHz computer. He said sure bring over the case. I did and he hooked up it to his monitor, mouse and keyboard. He booted it up and said “Hey this is a 100 MHz!” I said yes Paul I told you that. Paul said “Yes but I thought you was lying to me” and then he laughed. About 6 months before he died he told me he was dieing. I laughed due to him playing jokes on me all the time. Paul said “No I am serious” I did not let him know but it hit me hard then and now that he passed, it still is hard. Paul and I could not talk on the phone, without him talking about God. A good Extra Class Ham that I will never forget.
