Helen J. Whitcomb (W7DNJ)

Helen J. Whitcomb, Call Sign: W7DNJ, she was born on April 9,1924 in Rochester, N.Y. She passed away on September 24,2000, 1:00 p.m. M.S.T. in Cottonwood, Arizona where she lived for the past five years. Helen had lived in Arizona for 38 years. Her affiliations and memberships were: Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Secretary of Arizona Army Mars Net. Member and Vice President of the VVARA. (Verde Valley Amateur Radio Association) Treasurer of Arizona Weather Net Inc. Member of The Girl Scouts of America for 50yrs. Helen held a General Class Amateur Radio license and was an ambassador for Amateur Radio to all who knew her, and was an invaluable asset to the VVARA. She will be deeply missed.
