Joel Dryer (W0JLD/AAA7IA)

Joel Dryer was the Iowa State Army MARS Director.
Joel was also the Fayette County (Iowa) Assistant Prosecutor, and past
sheriff of Buchanan County (Iowa).
Joel served Army MARS for 17 years, the last 3 of which were as Iowa State
director.
Joel passed of a heart attack while on site assisting with the amateur radio demonstration at a Boy Scout Camporee at Camp Wakonda near Waubeek, IA. (Cedar Rapids, IA)
Joel was committed to the promotion and growth of MARS and amateur radio, and was also a strong supporter of the amateur radio events with
the Boy Scouts in the past.
