John H. Berry, Jr. (W0NXU)

February 11, 2008

John H. Berry Jr. W0NXU was an outstanding asset to amateur radio. He was always ready to talk to all amateurs from the newest of new to the 50 year veterans. An avid Hamfest attendee, he passed away on a return trip from a Hamfest in Florida back to his home QTH in Strafford, MO. In fact, if John had a hobby apart from Ham Radio, it would be attending Hamfests. He always traveled with a well equipped mobile setup and authored special software to enable touch screen logging while mobile. His Base Station was top class as well and he welcomed friends over to enjoy. John will be missed not only by the thousands of hams that got to know him but by the many thousand of hams who will now not get the chance to meet him.
