JAN WAS A DEAR FRIEND FOR MANY YEARS I FIRS MET HER ON THE NEW JERSEY CW TRAFFIC NETS JAN WAS A TRUE CW NUT AND EVEN OPERATED MOBILE CW LIKE MYSELF WE HAD MANY QSO'S TOGETHER AND PASSED LOTS OF NTS TRAFFIC SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE KNIGHT RADERS VHF CLUB K2DEL AND SUPPORTED US TO THE HILT FOUR YEARS AGO WHEN I LOST ALL MY EQUIPMENT TO HURRICANE KATRINA SHE SENT ME AN ICOM 706 TO USE WITH POWER SUPPLY AND A G5RV I HAD A STROKE SO SHE SENT A NTS MESSAGE TO ME AND ASKED ANY NTS HAMS IN MY AREA TO HELP ME GET ON THE AIR SHE ALWAYS WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO HELP ANY ONE AND KEPT AG2R GENE ON THE STRAIGHT AND NARROW LOL SORRY GENE SHE WILL BE SORLEY MISSED BY MANY HAMS BOTH IN NEW JERSEY NEW YORK AND FLORIDA AND SHE IS ALWAYS IN OUR PRAYERS AND THE BIG CW OP IN HEAVEN YOUR FRIEND RAY WA2SEI

The very nicely written article by Cheryl Muhr, N0WBV, in the "YL" section features our dearly departed Jan, WA2YL, in photos and text. I sent an email a while ago to the editor at WR and never got a reply as to whether it would be OK to reprint the article in our NJ Traffic Handlers Bulletin. I was touched. 73, GJ
