I knew Gregg as my 'elmer' and good friend. He was always willing and humble about helping new and old hams get on the air, voluntering to help put up an antenna, tune or fix a radio, volunteer work during hurricanes, and katrina help. I got a mfj tuner from him, soldering iron ect. but more important, I had the pleasure of his friendship, humor, advice, good pistol shooter, and gunsmith. he could never get the code, but had the electronics part down and was veryknowageble. I rember giveing him one of my dads old radio electronics books my dad had taken lessons from Radio Insitute of america , the book was proabbly published in l930s or so , had old schematics tube info , gregg..got a kick out of.. exp the repair prices recomendations back then... 50 cents or a dolllar an hr. he knew how to route a wire thur my car firewall, for the radio hookup, could solder an pl259 , I'' miss him... please note , if you smoke quit, those dam things killed my dad, and a good friend .. buy gregg, you will be misseed kg4ymc S.P.A.R.K'S, kg4klr AE4S, WAKULLA REPEATERS, SIMPLEX NET, OTHERS WILL MISS YOU 73S KG4YMC TERRY NOTE TO E HAM .
