10 August 2008

Bob Leek VE3TFD was a 25-year veteran of the Toronto Fire Department and lost his life in the response to the propane depot explosion that occurred on Sunday 10 August 2008. Bob was a member of RAC, the South Pickering Amateur Radio Club and Durham Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES).

The city of Toronto has lost one of its dedicated public servants with the loss of Bob Leek following the propane explosion. My thoughts are with his family during this trying time.
