George Spahn (K2GJR)

1980s

Brother George Spahn, a Marianist brother, was both a Physics teacher and Chaminade High School Radio Club (W2JTZ in Mineola, NY) moderator during the 1950s until 1960. A great friend and mentor with infectious enthusiasm, he encouraged everyone to become all that they could be. Under his wing, many of us young teens who struggled to become licensed found a helping hand. Now, almost fifty years later, I and many others enjoy this great hobby thanks to him. 73 es CUL, Phil!
