George Chatfield (K1UIL)

Dec. 8, 2000

I met George and his wife at his QTH in Rindge, NH when they lived next door to my sister and her late husband.George invited me into his house to see his radio equipment. He gave me one of his QSL cards which I still have. George's first callsign in 1922 was 9BTL. His card said that he was a "Rotarian Of Amateur Radio - Ex M.I.T. "1XM". His callsign has since been reissued.
