A GREAT GUY , SUPER ham and fine friend to ALL ! The Honorable Judge James Shaker(RET)will be greatly missed on 3.976. And although he never ventured far from 3.976 he has left behind a legacy. He was a man of wisdom , great passion and humor. We hams on 3.976 will cherish his legacy and remember his wisdom and humor for YEARS to come . May we ALL RISE one last time and may GOD BLESS the ole Shaker as he heads to maybe another legacy in the hereafter. GOOD DX my friend tnx for the memories es 73

Like many others I will miss Jim greatly. W8QLR was one of those very affable people that everyone liked to talk with. Jim represented the very best of amateur radio, he was a true gentlemen.

It's been my pleasure to have know Jim, W8QLR for more than 50 years ~ and enjoyed the many chats on 3996 and 3976 over the decades. On occasion we would have an after ham-fest luncheon in Flint ~ the picture shows Jim with some of his many friends ~ So long, Jan K1ND
