Friends Remembered Home | Friends Detail
Smith, Dan (K4JJF)
Feb 22, 2009
I got an Email this morning advising
that my friend Dan had passed in
Las Vegas NV after being hospitalized
for cancer.
Dan and I took our Novice exams at the
same time in March 1956, given by
our Elmer, Elmer Beck W4ENC, and we
both have been licensed continuously.
(below from Dan's QRZ callsign page)
Dan Smith, K4JJF has been an amateur radio operator since receiving his Novice license in 1956. He currently holds the Extra Class License and has held the call K4JJF since his Novice license was granted in 1956. He was HL9UN in South Korea in 1969.
RIP Dan.
