Rich was the SD section manager since 2002. He was a great friend - a sounding-block for many of us. He was always there to talk to and never "too busy". Rich taught me what it meant to be passionate about ham radio. He showed me the fun of contesting (we got a clean sweep at November Sweepstakes at his place, several years ago). He and I would go to many hamfests together (Sioux City, IA; Dayton, OH; Buffalo, MN; St. Paul, MN; Clearlake, SD; etc). Ham radio lost one of their best. We'll miss you, Rich! 73, Dan / ab0re
