george cook, jr. (W2RBK)

august 7, 2009

A great friend of amateur radio, George was a one-of-a-kind narrator of life and times gone by! Having lived a long life of 92 years, and being a veteran of World War II, he always was a pleasure to speak with and listen to. I will truly miss him and the late afternoon chats, hearing about life in and around NYC and his growing up on Staten Island.

Sorry to hear about George. I used to listen to him around 3813 in the evenings. Will miss his delightful voice and discussions.
