Joe Denison (N9ZLI)
OCtober 4, 2009
Good day,
It's with great sadness that I announce the passing of Joe Denison, N9ZLI. He was my elmer and a good man. He got me interested in the many facets of this hobby and made me see how interesting this hobby is and what you can get out of it from different angles. It was due to him that I got my "ticket" and also due to him that I pushed on and obtained my General class.
Joe, my friend, you will be missed.

I introduced Joe to the hobby back in 1994. He got his license not long afterward.
We have had many adventures: skywarn and disaster communications after several tornadoes. We had a blast with our HTX-202s and RadioShack 5/8 wave mag mounts.
This year Joe helped me rediscover ham radio. I upgraded to General and have become very active again. I am going to miss November Nine Zed Lima India.
Godspeed N9ZLI, see you on the other side.
