Langdon "Mac" Mc Alpin (N4PMG)

It is with great sadness that I post this. My friend and fellow ham Mac N4PMG has become a silent key. Mac had been fighting a long bout of illness and I'm sad to say he was not able to overcome it. Not only myself, but many of our mutual friends will miss Mac's voice on the air. He was always willing to share a funny story from his days in law enforcement. Mac was very fond of a good old fashioned rag chew on amateur radio and really enjoyed the low bands because of this. He was well known here in the southeast on 75 mtrs. and liked by many. He loved to tinker with different radios and try different mikes and rig combination's simply for the fun of doing so. Unfortunately, as his illness caught up with him, he was not able to get on the air as often. Mac my friend, RIP
