VAN FIELD, W2OQI was a fixture in amateur radio here in Suffolk County, NY (Long Island)..One of the first repeater owner/operators out this way, and a great teacher..He helped more amateurs, new and old than I can recount, and his endless basement full of parts was always helping resurrect someone's rig. He is very much missed...
