Bill Leggat (K3YQD)
3/20/2010
A well known and beloved ham passed away aftera long battle with Cancer. It was a couragous battle, but one that could not be won and we will all miss a popular two meter operator, with 315 countries confirmed and one heck of a nice guy who was a very active Red Cross Disaster Service Volunteer, SYSOP for the most popular repeater and one who loved PSK.
Bill was a key part of the local 2 meter scene and many hams made their first contact on two meters with him. He was always willing to help a new ham or anyone that needed assistance.
At the age of 92 he has eaned his rest and we know he will be trying to figure out how to offer a new DX contact from Heaven.

Bill was a fine man, an excellent ham, and a pleasure to chat with. I'll miss his didididit didit every time he drove by me, and the sound of his exercise bike every morning on the double-oh.
Vale, William.
