Arthur Alan Lindell, 59, died on June 5, 2010 at Indian River Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Buffalo, New York and has been a resident of Vero Beach since 1996. Retired Army, he served his country in the Vietnam War with the 101st Airborne, receiving 2 Purple Hearts, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign . As the long time president of the Ft. Pierce Amateur Radio Club; he was the driving force for the club’s continued success. He was a member of the Amateur Radio Relay League, National Rifle Association, Amateur Trapshooting Association, Disabled American Veterans and The American Legion Post 0400.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mary Jane Lindell. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lindell, son, Alan Lindell, daughter, Patricia Schmelz, daughter-in- law, Jayme, son-in-law, Steve; brothers, Bruce and Ron Lindell and one granddaughter, Annabelle Lee Lindell.

Didn't know he had been ill,what a shocker this is. Art was one of the good guys, was a hams ham. I am so so sorry, my thoughts and prayers are with his family in this, there time of sorrow.
