My first friend and my best friend here in Vermont. Suffered a stroke on his 90th birthday, November 5th.
Submariner in WW2. Went on to work at the Underwater Sound Lab in Groton Connecticut and was going to sea in tin cans well into the 1960s, maybe even later.
Deacon of his church. He will be missed by all who knew him.

John was the net control on a local wx net. He did a great job. Wx net is gone and now John is gone as well. Will miss you.
