Les Hinz (N6UTR)

Exact date not known

Les was an interesting person. Living alone on his estate by himself, he liked privacy. I had many enjoyable times with him on and off the air. He and I spent many a night at field days in the late 80's and early 90's. As I was never that active, he coined the phase NOAC. (Non-operating advanced class) He had a silent killer that took his life. When he was dying, he broke off all communications to his friends. I learned of his passing from his XYL. I will always have nice memories of myself, Les and my long lost friend Karl KK6AE during field days in 20 years ago. You are missed Les. 73 to you my friend.
