Leonard F Kaup (WD5IEV)

March 1, 2009

Here was a ham, aged 91, in my neighborhood I never had the chance to meet or talk to. I hope to remedy that with his passing. Thanks to him, I now make it a point to visit, at least once, every ham in the zip code or the neighborhood. Why? Maybe he/she needs a hand with an antenna? Or some help with his/her rig? If I can help, I will. Leonard's Butternut is warped and almost falling over. I could have helped him fix that and get him back on the air had I taken the time to meet him and offer my assistance. Now he's a SK and probably would have enjoyed his last few days a little more were he to be on the air. 73 OM de KD5KJD
