Bob was a great guy. I knew Bob through our mutual interest in vintage equipment and the AM mode. I visited with him several times at the Belton,TX hamfest and he visited at my qth in MS to pick up a T368 transmitter. Bob was helpful to many and an all around good guy. I was very saddened to learn of his passing and his presence on 3990 AM will be very much missed. Rest in peace, Bob.

Bob Peters was one terrific person. His friendly personality
showed in person as well as on the air. He loved his vintage
gear and was always to help anyone. He will be missed on
the AM and Collins nets with his great signal but more than
anything, we will miss his spirit. RIP, Robert.

I met Bob in the early 60s when he came to SE Pa. as K3WGX. Bob had a late 40s or early 50s Ford in which was installed a Johnson Viking Mobile - don't remember the receive converter.
Bob and I believe it was Ziggy, K3KIZ, and I drove to Bob's home in Bangor to visit his mom. The old Ford would overheat at 71 mph but was fb at 70! What a blast we had, as well as the times we operated mobile from Mt. Penn in Reading, Pa.
Although we both left the SE Pa. area and lost contact, I have often thought about him over the years and was sorry to hear of his passing. RIP, Bob.

I only worked Bob a few times as he did a wonderful job as net control for the Texohma Traders Net. It was obvious that he had a love for the hobby and always conducted himself in the most honorable manner. He was a great role model and will be missed.
