Ainsley Phillips (KA5NAL)
circa June 1985
Ainsley the "Naturalized American Limey." We had a lot of fun didn't we? We met when you broke into my second ever QSO (CW) and you passed along your phone number so I could call you after the QSO. That was the beginning of a great friendship. I still miss helping each other learn the ropes of amateur radio and driving to New Orleans to upgrade.
We had a lot of fun running HF for Civil Defense out of your Jeep when the Pearl River flooded Slidell, Louisiana in 1983.
You'll never be forgotten. I am still proud to have had you for a friend. 73 and good luk DX'ing the Universe.

This was my grandfather. I wasn't old enough to meet him or see him work the radio. Right nowI'm a OS2 in the Coast Guard (Coast Guard Juneau Radio) anyone know him?
