Bill Couch (W4VY)
April 28th, 2001
I met Bill Couch when I attended my first meeting of the Milton (FL) Amateur Radio Club. He struck me right away as a gentleman with class; and he lent an air of dignity to otherwise mundane club meetings. No big surprise he was club president not once, but twice and served the club in many other fashions as well. He was always a respectable representative of our hobby when making contacts with the general public. On the air, Bill was always a gentleman and led by example. I am sorry I did not take the time or make the effort to get to know him better, because he was certainly a class act. Ham radio lost one of its good guys when it lost Bill Couch W4VY. He will be missed. 73 & Godspeed. Your friend, Mark AG4HQ
