Tom Small (KB1EFA)

November 13, 2011

Tom was a quiet man, but one of those rare people who brightened up anywhere he went just by being there. And when something needed doing he would show up and do it, never making a fuss about it. You knew you could rely on him without asking, and those of us who saw his dedication up close know what his loss really means. I am honored to have known him and to have worked with him as a volunteer where he gave his all to whatever he did. And more importantly I learned a few important things about life from him- something that's not so easy to teach at my age! Tom never let anything get him down. An experienced electronics technician he knew more than his unassuming presence would have led you to think and he had great fun with Ham radio. Rather than list all his many accomplishments in life, I'll just say that he was the kind of friend anyone would want to have, always there, always listening, always helping, always caring, always giving. You'll be missed Tom, best of 73 to you.
