Richard "Dick" Steffen (WA2BOL)

June 3, 2001

Dick was an active member of the WA2VNV repeater, he kept many of us who travel the Long Island Expressway company on our way to work and back home. He was a good man, who would help anyone who asked for help. Dick was an expert at maintaining large enviromental testing chambers, used to test aviaonics for the F-16 Falcon, F/A-18 Hornet, and various platforms which used IFF Aviaonics ( Identification Friend or Foe ). He was well respected by his neighbors, some even helped put up his new motorized tower. He had many friends at Hazeltine Corporation, now BAe Systems, and was one of the first employees of East/West Technologies, of West Palm Beach, FL. Dick also was active in model airplanes. He will be missed by many.
