Tom Gibbons (W9EYB)

Jan 29, 2013

A remarkable guy, a good friend, our St. Louis area clubs, me and friends all the way out to Long Beach, CA on the historic QE1 museum where Tom served as a volunteer radio operator ...we will all miss Tom. I knew Tom from ham radio and also the Civil Air Patrol for many years. God Bless him.

Tom Gibbons was a first class guy. Always ready to help. Tom did the legal work to incorporate the Marissa Amateur Radio Club in 1978 when he lived in Illinois. We met again on the Queen Mary when we lived in Long Beach. Tom will be missed by so many. Amateur Radio has lost yet another great member of this fraternity. Rest In Peace, Tom. Bob Heil, K9EID

Sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I was a high school student in Edwardsville when he gave me a an old Finco 6m beam so I could get on the 'magic band'. He was always ready with good advice and encouragement....and he was a top-notch lawyer.
