Charlie Rodgers (W0QQN)

March 10, 2013

Charlie was the Zero QSL Bureau Manager for many years. Some hams said his first wife, Alma was the Bureau. He will be missed. I was a card sorter for him (S,U,X and W). I always enjoyed visiting with him and the stories he would tell. He was retired from Western Electric (installations). Charlie installed many microwave towers. He will be dearly missed. 73s to you Charlie.

Many years ago, Charlie was showing me some of his QSL cards from the 1930's. He was very proud of the one he received from W6QUT. W6QUT was Freeman Godsen who was "Amos" from the "Amos and Andy" radio show.
