Larry Carris (KA8ZMZ)

From the Buzzards Net Page: This is a photo of Larry, KA8ZMZ erecting his tower this past summer of 2011 at his home in Saline, MI. He is going to be greatly missed. He was a very quiet guy and only talked when he had something important to say. At least this the impression I received upon meeting him for the first time at the Hazel Park Swap in 2010. Don, KF8DM has supplied this photo for us all to enjoy. Don was a close friend of Larry for more than 25 years. Larry was Don's first contact as a techician on 2 meters. As there relationship grew Don and Larry did many things together. Larry we all miss you.........But you are now in the arms of the Lord, he will look after you now. Praise the Lord --------------------------------------- From K8CPA: I think that pretty much sums up Larry very well. Larry was one of the first Amateur Radio operators that I spoke with on 2 meters when I got my tech class license in 1990. He was a very kind man and even overlooked my newbie stupidity on Ham Radio. I really am going to miss talking with Larry --- on HF and VHF too.

It's a sad day for me, I just found out. :-( Rest in peace OM, you've darned well earned it. -Chuck K8CPA
