Ron Partin (N0XFO)

2005

Ron got me started in amateur radio. We had both been CB sidebanders and he got his ham license first. I followed a year later. Good fishing buddy and all-around fine person. We spent a lot of time together on the water and had a 2 meter rig in our boat.

I was blessed to know and chat with Ron for a couple of years, both in person and on 2 meters. Even when he was in the hospital, he was an encouragement to me in how he handled his illness. Being the Christian he was, I was enabled through him to better understand the grace that God gives to His people to endure such trials. Ron exhibited by his life the truth that all things, even cancer, work in the believer to the glory of God. I look forward to the day I will see Ron again, both of us bowing before the Throne of Grace, giving praise and glory to God forever for the redemption from sin He has purchased for us.
