Mark Nowell (WI7YN)

Jan. 10,2014

Mark was the manager of HRO in Oakland,CA. He passed away from a heart attack, he was always most helpful. R.I.P. Mark

He was a great guy - he will be missed for sure.

I am so sadden to hear that Mark has passed away. He and I worked at the Sunnyvale HRO store years ago. He knew his stuff and would go the extra mile to help his customers. It was fun working with him. We would talk about going 4x4ing here in Nevada. The old gang from days gone bye at HRO is dwindling to fast. REST IN PEACE my friend

Mark was my favorite contact at HRO, Oakland. I'd hoped to get down there again (from "7" land) for another "eyeball" QSO. Mark will certainly be missed. He was knowledgeable, perceptive and extremely helpful to me in selecting gear for my shack. Rest in peace, OM.
