Richard "Dick" Remer (WD9HOW)

June 15th 2014

Dick has been a friend of mine ever since I met him on 10m back in April of 1986 while searching for 10-10 numbers. We became fast friends and even attended a 10-X convention in WI. We manned our 10-X NITT Chapter booth one weekend. We stayed connected by 10m for a long time and eventually switched to 2m FM simplex and would talk just about every night on 2m and we had a group that finally settled on 147.57 and this became a party line type of net rather than a round table. Lots of doubling going on but that was the nature of the beast. Good times all. I know you'll make friends upstairs Dick. We sure miss you. 147.57 has been pretty quiet lately.

Knew Rich since the 10-10 International Net Convention in Milwaukee back in 1989 and the many Milwaukee nets we were in. He was a credit to the hobby and will be missed.
