Born - Aurora, Illinois. Grew up in - Cincinnati, Ohio. Hometown - Detroit, Michigan. First licensed as a Novice WN8MQU in 1972 Thanks to Greater Cincinnati Amateur Radio Association Classes. Returned as KA8GRH Novice in 1979. Upgraded to Technician Class in 1979. Upgraded to General in May 2000 Interests have included Amateur Television (FSTV), public service, traffic handling, VHF/UHF FM, Satellite Communications, and digital modes. Member - American Radio Relay League Other Hobbies include: Amateur astronomy. Member - Ford Amateur Astronomy Club, Warren Astronomical Society, Astronomical League. Computers - from TRS-80 (1979) TRS-80 COCO (1980's) PC's/Windows(1985 -2010, Ubuntu Linux 2010 - Profession - Planetarian (Planetarium professional). President (March 2010 to March 2012) and member - Great Lakes Planetarium Association. member - International Planetarium Society. Planetaria include: Cincinnati Planetarium @ Cincinnati Museum of Natural History & Science, 1986 to 1995; Caryl D. Philips Space Theater @ Boonshoft Museum, 1995 to 1997, Scenectady Planetarium @ Schenectady Museum - 1999 to 2001, Dassault Systèmes Planetarium - Detroit Science Center, 2001 to Present,Solar System Ambassador Program (NASA).
