Philip T. Morrissey (K2HQ)

March 6, 2000

(via August,2000 QST silent key listing)

Contributed by: Guy Mallery (WA2MSU)

I first met Phil (via 2m packet) in 1986...He stopped by the TV shop where I worked for an eye-ball, and we exchanged shareware disks, which you can imagine was quite a new phenonmenon at that time...Phil put in a tremendous effort for Army MARS during the Gulf war, and was a true mentoring presence for the entire Catskill region, New York State, and Ham Radio in general... God Bless, Phil

Phil was the best Period. If you were willing to listen and learn, he was willing to teach. He was one of my best friends. Hey Phil, I will see you on the other side.
