Bill Holmes (G8GYP)

July 16 1986

We got admitted to the ham fraternity, sat the Rae exam and passed the same year. He was instrumental in running the 2m repeater GB3WL in Hillingdon Hospital roof. Both he and it both, regrettably now deceased. Bill at the tender age of 30 with a heart attack while driving home in his car......he was a London bus driver!!! What would the disaster have been like if it has occurred 30 mins earlier with up to 90 passengers aboard 😇😨😭😱🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌
