Alice Braley (WB1GFM)

July 20, 2010

Alice & her husband Wes printed a batch of QSL's for me in 1977..... They both became hams. Wes lost interest but Alice loved CW and would operate for years with a cigarette and the TV blasting copying in her head. She never upgaded and was happy to renew her novice license and operate in the novice bands. Alice A. Braley Obituaries and death notices, July 28, 2010 Published: Wednesday, July 28, 2010 Alice A. I ran across an old card of Alice's this morning. It brought back good memories of my very early days of being a novice. I would have been 12 or so when I first met Alice. Alice and I would spend hours talking on 80 meter cw. She was a really cool person. She had several cards one of which was her Police bike and another of her in uniform on an Automatic Suzuki motorcycle. I googled her callsign and saw her license still active and was going to look her up. Disappointed to see she passed. RIP Alice ... -.-
