William "Tony" Blalock (K4OCF)

December 17, 22015

Tony passed away last Thursday quite unexpectedly. He was one of those people that everyone liked. I met Tony a couple years after I moved to Florida from Connecticut and we became good friends. He will be missed by many. Rest in peace, Tony 73, de Wayne, W1KI/4

Tony was a true ham by every standard of measure. His technical skills had him exploring new stuff constantly and sharing what he learned. As an Elmer he helped countless numbers get going in the hobby and found ways to get gear to the ones in need to get them on the air and started. In his profession he brought IT to our county schools to expand education for a couple generations of kids. For community service he was a mover and shaker in MARS, our county EOC, and ARES. As my Christian brother it was a privilege to be his friend.
