Hugh Morgan (W4VAB)

August 11, 2016

Hugh became a silent key while hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains that he loved. He also loved ham radio and was an active CW operator but also operated digital modes and APRS. Hugh was an active ham for over 60 years.

I was truly sadden by Hugh"s passing. I'm not surprised he was hiking at the time-he was always into the "out-of-doors". Hugh and I had been working for years on 80 meter cw. He was always trying to get me to join QCWA but I always replied that I wasn't old enough. Hugh was an asset to ham radio and will be missed by his many friends, hams or not. Bunky. K4EJQ
