Davey Jones (KM4D)

March 10,2017

We have lost a great friend, my mentor, a very intelligent broadcast engineer, and a very talented man and perfectionist regardless of whatever he set out to accomplish. I'll miss your wit and your sheepish grin whenever I'd ask a dumb question; But you always explained in a way I could understand. Always will remember you calling me up to come over to see a rare Collins piece you had just finished restoring, and the smile on your face when you saw the gleam in my eye with amazement. 73 my Brother, catch you down the log.

Not enough white space to tell you all about Dave. I met him when he was still in high school and I was a newly married guy. We operated at W3SS outside of Philly. We kept in touch over the years. He built BIG amps and antennas. He was always looking at new technology to see what he could to to improve it. He was a DXpeditioner and contester. We lost him too soon. RIP my Friend. Sid K3SX

I met Dave when he was in high school. We were part of the multi op at W3SS. We remained good friends until his untimely death. He was smart and humble and a great friend.
