Daily updated online log: http://www.clublog.org/charts/?c=5N0OCH

I am in Nigeria to set up a new short wave radio station for Voice Of Nigeria. I am QRV as often as work permits it on all bands mostly in CW but also some SSB and RTTY. So far I was active from 23cm-160m in CW, RTTY, SSB, PSK31, JT65 and JT6M.

Attention Pirat: There was a pirat using my call. As far as I know he was active on August 2nd (on 80m) and on October 8th (40m, 80m), also sometimes on 160m. Please check my online log before you send direct QSL. If there is any doubt, just drop me a mail and ask. Onlinelog at clublog is updated daily!!

I am using the broadcasting antennas which consists of fixed arrays of 16 stocked dipoles into direction North, another array into West. The antenna is actually only for 9... 19MHz but performing great from 12m-40m.

The picture above shows my new toy which I am using since 17th of October. Its a fully rotatable curtain antenna with 32 stocked dipoles. Each 16 for lowbands (6... 16MHz) and highbands (16...26MHz). Key features: 80m high, more than 20dBi gain on each band, weight 280 tons, rotated by 20kW motors, completely remote controlled.

I am back on 160m. I tried a 40m long vertical but I guess grounding over here is just too bad. I now hang up a dipole from the link tower. One end hangs 60m high, the other one 15m high. It performs pretty good and I was able to work US, PY, VK, TX3A and JA. For receiving I have several other antennas that I switch. I use only 100W, so please listen carefully. Please ONLY call me if you can hear me. There is quite some QSB. Please try it later and do not take others the chance of a QSO. Permanent callers that do not copy me, will not receive a QSL card for top band.

I kindly ask you to not do so many dupe QSOs. There are still many small stations that want to work me and for some 5N is still a new one, especially outside EU.

I did 257 QSOs on 6m. My antenna was only a dipole about 6m above ground. The Es season is over, I am not QRV on 6m anymore.

Other activity was as 5N0EME on 2m, 70cm and 23cm in JT65 and some CW where I made 211 QSOs. Please check www.mmmonvhf.de for last update. Also I was QRV as 5N0HQ, together with Ivan OM3CGN. Furthermore I was active from Adamawa State as 5N0OCH/5N7.

I will QSL all QSOs 100% via DL3OCH (bureau or direct). Please be patient. I am in 5N until end of November and I probably wont be able to answer direct mail before.
