When Woodstock festival had been realized (Summer of '69), I just was born. Although I prefer Rock and Roll music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjJsKICCt0I&feature=related, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=219AydgdgHM&feature=related ...) I chose AMATEUR RADIO work to my main hobby.

In my childhood I shared my freetime between waterpolo trainings and equipment buildings.

Now I work in a telecommunication firm, as a technical engineer. We build and repair the big telephone-switching systems all around the country. I like this job, but my real interests area is the wireless communication.

Fortunately I have opportunity to construct different kind of equipments (e.g. transceivers, power amplifiers, antennas,...).

In the last 20 years I wrote by the dozen technical articles for the GREATEST HUNGARIAN AMATEUR MAGAZINE-RADIOTECHNIKA.

In the recent past I designed and created a high performance SHORT WAVE LINEAR AMPLIFIER with a russian GU43B tube, that you can experience on the air. It was the lack part of my station, that includes an IC-765 transceiver and the next antennas:

-2 el. vertical phased array on 160m

-4 Square (previously I had a 3 el. Spitfire) and a full size Quad loop on 80m

-4 Square on 40m

-Quad loop on 30m

-2 el. Cubical Quad on 20/15/10m

-Some antennas for receiving (Beverages, phase fed Flags)

I like short wave operation, not especially the contesting, but the DXing on the lower bands. Me and some friends of mine usually build different kind of antennas at my QTH, where I have to do a lot of gardening work too (even in summer).

So, that's all about myself, I hope we'll meet at amateur bands.73! Peter

P.S. About the QSL:

If You need my QSL, please send Your card direct way, I am surelly replying to it. But please attach a self-addressed envelope and 2 USD or 1 IRC for the postage (The hungarian post fees are very high, 1 USD doesn't cover the reply charge). Thank You!
