QSL INFORMATION
Thanks for the QSO. I QSL 100% with a card direct. You don't need to send any $US or IRC's for return postage, just send a self-addressed envelope.
I do not do LOTW or e-QSL. I have only received QSL cards from the VK bureau once in 18 months. So please don't send cards to me via the bureau, it will take a long time for me to get your card.
So if you send your QSL card to me without any return postage, that is ok. I will send you a QSL card back to you direct.
My favourite part of the hobby is contesting and chasing DX. I'm mainly on SSB and PSK31 on 15m, 20m and 40m.
If you wish to set up a schedule for PSK31 then send me an email at vk8pdx@yahoo.com.au and we can arrange to try and make a PSK31 QSO.
I'm the Contest Column editor for Amateur Radio magazine of the Wireless Institute of Australia. Please feel free to send me your contesting stories, whether they be funny, frustrating or just plain weird. They can be sent to me for publication at vk8pdx@yahoo.com.au
I use a Icom IC-706 MKIIG with a 3 element full size yagi for 20m on a 10.5m high One Man Tower (see http://users.spin.net.au/~aeitower/). For all other bands I use a Butternut HF9V vertical, ground mounted with 60 radials.
