My name is Ioan Alexandru CHIRU ("ALEX") and I was born to 21 june 1962 in Focsani, Vrancea County (VN). I was first licensed as a SWL in 1982 and I've got my callsign YO9FYP in 1992.

Now I work with a Kenwood TS-440 SAT and ASAY Vertical antenna, AVT 4.

I work most in CW.

My QSL card will be sure via Bureau or via http://www.eqsl.cc , but if you want to receive it directly, please send $2 + SAE.

My QTH, GIURGIU town is the administrative, commercial and cultural center of the named county and is placed on the left side of the Danube River, at 60 km south of Bucharest, capital of Romania. The total number of inhabitants is 70,000 and the total surface, inside the town, is 4,862 Ha. The Great Saint George is the spiritual patron of the Giurgiu City and every year, on 23rd of April, The City Day is celebrated
