Not much to say here.

The station is pretty small, 3el triband Yagi@10m height, 400W from an ICOM radio and amplifier.

The terrain is pretty flat all around, so pretty terrible in all directions :-)

Active since 2nd week of October 2008 from this location, the other call/location is ZS1Y near Cape Town.

The QSL manager is Stan, SQ8X, please include an SAE and 2US$ to cover postage from his end. (You can also send direct to me with the same provisor, but I suspect you will get a quicker response from Stan). Having had problems with IRCs in our small backwater towns, we'd prefer not to have to stand for half an hour in the post office, in order for them to decide whether they will honour an IRC, but if you can only provide an IRC, we will grudgingly accept, I suppose...

If you are a masochist and have too much time on your hands, the bureau via ZS3Y will also work, don't expect to see a response in under 18months :-)

27 September 2009
Spring propagation is here now with some pretty good openings toward Europe and North America on 15m as well as some 20m propagation at night, even some 15m toward Japan, but things seem to be rathe noisy into that part of the world from here and signals not so strong :-(
The 15m opening this afternoon toward North America started around 13:40UTC or so and seemed to last until after 17:00UTC, with lots of QSB, but mostly good copy, sunset here is around 16:30UTC, so well after dark there was still some pretty good propagation and some really strongish signals from the US and Canada. I suspect that at the end of grayline propagation, 15m probably would have closed (I bailed early due to a Brazilian station starting to call CQ on my frequency)
